It seems that Drake's upcoming album will be called "VIEWS" instead of its presumed title "Views from the 6."
Drake revealed that his fourth studio album would be called Views from the 6 all the way back in July 2014. On Friday, April 29, he will finally release that album, though somewhere along the line, the title may have changed to VIEWS instead of Views from the 6. VIEWS is the hashtag that has seemed to be trending most ubiquitously, and the one that Drake and his team at OVO have been using.
The merchandise that OVO has been giving out for free at various pop-up shops around the U.S. and Canada is also adorned with just the word VIEWS, as with the sweatshirt that Drake sports in the image below.
It seems that Drake and Apple Music have also been using the title of VIEWS lately when promoting the album via OVO's Beats 1 radio show. In a clip taken from episode 19 of OVO Sound Radio, which Apple has titled "Drake Announces Views Release Date on OVOSOUNDRADIO," Drake tells his listening audience, "I'm happy to let you know that VIEWS is dropping April 29th."
Whether it's VIEWS or VFT6, the air is ripe with anticipation for the imminent drop of a new Drake album.
