The first season of Marvel's Iron Fist wasn't the studio's best work. All the other members of The Defenders had shows that were loved by fans and critics. Luke Cage was refreshingly cultural, Jessica Jones placed a female in the driver's seat, and Daredevil showcased amazing fight choreography. By the time Danny Rand, also known as Iron Fist, showed up, his story felt somewhat stale.

The second season of Iron Fist was announced by Marvel, and a teaser for the series has been released online. It appears that Marvel is aiming to fix some of the issues with the first season. Critics and fans alike were disappointed with the fight scenes, but the new teaser hints at much more complex and well-executed battles. The short teaser features Danny Rand proclaiming himself New York's protector while easily defeating several thugs in the street. The official synopsis for Iron Fist season 2 from Netflix is as follows:

"Iron Fist Season 2 features Danny Rand (Finn Jones) as he fights against the criminal element corrupting New York City with his kung-fu mastery and ability to summon the awesome power of the fiery Iron Fist.
