Invader Zim, the show which aired for one season on Nickelodeon in 2001, is set to return to Nickelodeon in an all-new 90-minute original TV movie.
The Invader Zim film will reportedly star the original series cast members including Richard Horvitz as Zim, alongside Rikke Simmons as GIR, Andy Berman as Dib, and Melissa Fahn as Gaz.
Nickelodeon’s senior VP of Content Development and Production, Animation, Chris Viscardi says “Invader Zim” has been reimagined by the show's original creator Jhonen Vasquez.
Per Variety,
“What makes this announcement extra thrilling is the adventure that Jhonen has created for Zim, and I can promise you that it is as wonderfully absurd and strangely heartfelt as any fan of the original series could hope for, and kids seeing it for the first time will love it too.”
Plot details of the Invader Zim movie has not yet been revealed.
