Instagram has just unveiled its newest feature: zoom. That's right, now you can get up close and personal with all of the photos and videos posted on the 'gram, using the simple pinch and zoom feature.
Instagram broke the news on... Instagram, with the following caption detailing the latest addition to the popular app:
Starting today, you can pinch to zoom on photos and videos in feed, on profiles and on Explore. Dive into an adorable puppy’s smile or into every detail of your friend’s new shirt.
Over the past six months, you’ve seen many exciting changes come to Instagram, from a new icon to longer videos and even a new way to share everyday moments with Instagram Stories. And as things change, we’re still focused on improving the core parts of Instagram.
Zoom is available today for Instagram on iOS. Zoom will be available on Android in the coming weeks.
IG users will certainly be using the newest feature for more than just "diving into an adorable puppy's smile," but we think it's a cool upgrade that probably should've been added when they first launched.
As noted on IG, this latest feature comes just weeks after Instagram changed the game with their Snapchat-esque "Instagram Stories" feature, and it has us wondering what else they could do to improve IG.
