"Becky" has been on the tip of everyone's tongue over the last week, following Beyoncé's use of the name in her song "Sorry," where she described a woman many have assumed to be Jay Z's former mistress as "Becky with the good hair". Some have assumed that the name was chosen as a generic name for a white woman, and somehow all of this lead to Iggy Azalea being called "Becky" on Twitter, something she did not take kindly to.

After speaking her mind about the use of "Becky" as a white stereotype, Iggy has now revisited the discussion on Twitter, suggesting that her comments did not have anything to do with Bey, who she respects, and whose new album, LEMONADE, she enjoys. She also clarified that she does not feel the term is equivalent to a racial slur.
