It's clear that Ice Cube's lifestyle has changed quite a bit from his days in NWA. Fans have adjusted to seeing him in family-oriented movies like "Are We There Yet?", but for the most part, his music has stuck within the genre of gangsta rap. Thus, his newest single, "Drop Girl", came as a bit of surprise, sporting features from 2 Chainz and LMFAO's Redfoo, and sporting a more EMD-leaning beat.

Some longtime fans have been less than impressed with the song, so Cube made sure to address the backlash in an Instagram video. "I want to thank everybody for supporting that new "Drop Girl" song with my man Redfoo and 2 Chainz," he began, before giving his take on the haters.

"To my hardcore fans, it's only one song," he explained, alluding to the fact that the rest of the album will satisfy his loyal followers, but insisted, "When you see your girl dance to this shit, you'll love me again."
