iann dior has a formula and it's working for him. The Puerto Rico-born, Texas-raised artist has been making a name for himself with melodic pop-rap songs that appeal to the masses. His debut album Industry Plant proved that he could come up with a catchy hit in an effortless manner. With his new collection of songs, the 10K Projects signee is showing even more of his pop-punk influences, recycling an algorithm that worked when he was growing up.
Guitar riffs aplenty and melodies befitting those of a Green Day project fill iann dior's new EP I'm Gone. While he does stick to his equation for the greater portion of I'm Gone, he does show versatility on tracks like "Shameless" and "Psycho," which are far from the usual catalogue addition for the young star-in-the-making.
