IAMDDB's new project, Swervvvvv.5, is as cool as it gets. The new project melds jazz-influenced instrumentals with the contemporary sounds of Hip Hop. It opens up to "Introlude," welcoming listeners to kick back and vibe high. "Wherever you are in the world, I wish you positivity and light," she begins. "This is a space of no judgment, no evil, no pride."
Don't get it twisted. The project as a whole ain't about holding hands in a friendship circle. IAMDDB interrupts the lovefest rather quickly on "Wokeuptoflexxx" singing, "F*ck em all, we don't give a f*ck," while maintaining her carefree attitude. Later, she comes through with a twerk bop called "Asss$" and lays down some island vibes on "I'm Home."
Swervvvvv.5 serves as the follow up to Flightmode, Vol. 4, which dropped in 2018.
