Hot 97's 25th edition of Summer Jam is going down this weekend at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, New York's dirty little secret of using its neighbour's yard is something we'd like to look past, considering how many NY rappers have bought mansions across the turnpike. Never the less, Summer Jam promises to be a total blammer, like all the rest, and this time around TIDAL is providing a livestream of the event for its subscribers.
With a lineup that includes the likes of Meek Mill, Lil Wayne, Tory Lanez, Remy Ma, ASAP Ferg, Kendrick Lamar, A Boogie and Rich the Kid, it's not hard to set aside time some leisure time, now that you can the festival in the comfort of your own home.
The festival will mark the first performance by Meek Mill since his release from federal prison in April. The Hot 97 crew teased a major announcement in the 3rd week of May, which ended up being his addition to the festival lineup. In addition, the radio station pledged $10k to the Justice League NYC to mark the occasion, and to help in the efforts of criminal justice reform.
