Jeff Allen successfully locates the good samaritan that helped him with car trouble.
Kansas City Chiefs guard Jeff Allen had some issues getting to Arrowhead Stadium for Saturday's playoff game against the Indianapolis Colts, but thanks to a man named Dave he didn't miss out on the team's 31-13 victory.
Allen took to social media after the game to explain that his car was stuck in the snow when Dave, who didn't know Allen was a member of the Chiefs, stopped and offered his help.
"My car got stuck in the snow before the game & a nice guy named Dave help pull me out without knowing I was a player. I want to give him tickets to the AFC championship game for helping but don’t have a way to contact him. He drove a 97 or 98 Black Suburban. Pls RT
By Sunday afternoon, Allen had successfully located Dave Cochran, a homeless man who lives in his Chevy Suburban with his girlfriend and dog, according to a report by 41 Action News in Kansas City.
“It’s like a dream come true," Cochran told 41 Action News. “I saw the message this morning, and I am not going to fake with you—call me soft if you want to, homeboys—I started bawling to know he is a man of his word and he reached out to contact me.”
Allen will be giving Cochran tickets to Sunday's AFC Championship game against the New England Patriots. Additionally, a GoFundMe page has been set up for Cochran.
