We recently paid a visit to Hodgy Beats while he was in the studio, to discuss his recent mixtape, Dena Tape 2, his debut album and more.
Hodgy kicks it off by discussing the recent mixtape and how he ended up connecting with Audio Push and Hit-Boy (Hit-Boy appears on the track "If I Say So").
Hodgy goes on to talk about who he works with the best in the Odd Future collective, as well as the possibility of releasing another projects with Left Brain. He says if it happens, it won't be under the name MellowHype. Same thing goes for MellowHigh according to the rapper. "We just simplifying things cause at first we came out with all these sub-groups, all this other shit. Nah, it's just us nigga. I rather roll with our names," he says.
Hodgy ends the interview by speaking on his debut album, which he says he's currently working on with "a lot of big producers." He says he hopes to drop it in the summertime.
