When I heard the intro to Big Z's "Money Got Me Geek'd," I had to whip out Shazam to make sure that someone hadn't uploaded a Kevin Gates song under their own name. But it turns out that Big Z just has a very similar voice to the Baton Rogue spitter, and even cites him as a favorite of his:
"Born & Raised in Burke County, Georgia. Has opened up for Future, Gorilla Zoe, Young Dro and more. I started rapping in middle school where I won first place two years in a row. Favorite artist are Kevin Gates, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Jay Z, and Drake."
His chirping delivery in the lines "I can't go to SLEEP, money got me GEEKED" also reminds us of another down South spitter.
