Halle Berry and her John Wick 3 co-star Keanu Reeves had the opportunity to star in a film together years ago, but Halle passed on the chance. In a recent sit-down with Entertainment Tonight Canada, Halle revealed that she was offered the role in the 1994 film Speed before Sandra Bulock, but she turned it down.

"I don't know if you know this, but I was offeredSpeed before Sandra Bullock," Halle explained. "I stupidly said no. But in my defense, when I read the script the bus didn't leave the parking lot."

“I was like no, no, no, no. Then I see the movie and I’m like, arrrrghh,” she added, explaining how she has no regrets. “I was in it well before these fine people. They were offering me the parking lot version.”

Before John Wick 3 had even completed its script, Halle demanded her part in the film, seemingly not wanting to miss another role in a successful movie.

“I got a call saying, ‘Halle Berry would like to meet with you.’ I was like, ‘That’s cool.’ I’d never met her before," director Chad Stahelski previously explained.

"She came to my offices in Manhattan Beach the next day, walked right in, sat down, goes, ‘I want a part in John Wick 3. I’m like, well, ‘That’s very flattering, but we don’t have a script yet.’ She said, ‘I don’t care.’ I’m like, ‘Well, I don’t even know if there’s a female [part].’ She goes, ‘I don’t care, I want to be in it, let’s party.'”
