As promised, Gunplay has delivered a new single, and this one is definitely not a bid for radio. "Tell 'Em Daddy" mixes screeching G-Funk synths with jangling trap production, but as usual, Don Logan greatly overshadows his instrumental. Taking four minutes to tell us exactly who he is through ferocious punchlines and colorful imagery, the MMG Rapper carves out a perfect street single that bodes well for his long-awaited Living Legend project.
Apparently, the album is coming in May, though we're hesitant to take his word for it, as we've been left disappointed before. With that being said, this record is a good indication that the wheels are in motion.
