Gunna's debut album Drip or Drown 2 made its way to number 3 on the Billboard 200 after moving 90k units in its first week. It's an impressive feat for Gunna especially since he was competing against Offset whos album Father Of 4 was initially projected to outsell Drip or Drown 2. While he might not have the number one album across all genres in America, the album has earned him the top spot on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.

Gunna's debut album debuted atop Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. It's now his first number one on the chart. He previously peaked at number 2 on the chart when he and Lil Baby teamed up for Drip Harder in October. Drip Season only peaked at 25 in Feb. 2017.

Additionally, Gunna holds down the top spot on the Top Rap Albums chart. Again, he previously peaked at number 2 on this chart with Drip Harder.

Gunna's new project also debuted six songs off the set on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart including "Outstanding" which is the highest charting single off of Drip Or Drown 2.

No. 32, “Outstanding”
No. 35, “3 Headed Snake,” featuring Young Thug
No. 36, “Wit It”
No. 43, “Speed It Up”
No. 45, “Same Yung N***a,” featuring Playboi Carti
No. 50, “Richard Millie Plain”

Aside from his chart performance, it was recently revealed that he and Metro Boomin would be headlining Spotify's RapCaviar Live in Minneapolis in April.
