Gunna's breakout year isn't over. The melodic artist has taken to Twitter to announce yet another project, Drip or Drown II, a sequel to last year's EP. "I forgot To Tell my fans Drip Or Drown II Is Dropping this Year !" he writes, via Twitter, promising the project will be executive produced by Wheezy and Turbo. Last year's Drip Or Drown arrived at the onset of Gunna's momentous run, which truly gained traction around Drip Season 3

Sauce Walka's revisitation of the "Drip Ownership" discourse cast a shadow over the game; we've already seen Offset caught in his crossfires, and Cardi B by association. That's not to say that Gunna's tweets are directly alluding to Sauce, but the context exists nevertheless. Either way, nobody can dispute Gunna's contribution to the movement, and he shows no intention of fighting for due credit.

"Ima say this one time only !" he writes. "I Don’t Give a Flying Fucc about The Word DRIP ! Or Who ever say Dey created it ! BuT I make HITS and i really put dat Shit On. Making music and having Millions to take care of me and my family the Only thing i really care about " A noble goal, and Gunna is living up to the challenge. The prolific Atlanta rapper is still enjoying the success of "Drip Too Hard," a single many already consider among the year's best.
