Gucci Mane shows off his new signature kicks.
Gucci Mane is countering some bad news with more good news today (September 14th), sharing some Instagram shots of his new signature Reebok sneaker, seemingly counteracting the news that his upcoming album, Mr. Davis, has been officially pushed back by several weeks. However, for fans of the Guwop, the inability to purchase his next LP will free up some cash for you to drop on his new kicks in the near future.
Made up of several shades of white and detailed with some nice jeweled flourishes, the "Reebok Guwops," as the rapper referred to them in the caption for one of the pictures, have an old-school feel to them, but definitely don't look like something that will make you look dated by wearing them out. With his signature ice cream cone emblem seen more than once in the design, it's the kind of style statement that will have fans see the new sneakers as unmistakable Gucci creations. According to the information being passed on by the emcee via these social media posts, the shoes will be made available come the 17th of October. There's no official word on if the sneaks will come in more colors than just the white (and diamond), but he's seen holding a black pair of shoes in his hands at one point, so maybe that points to an affirmative answer to that question.
Gucci Mane is a man who's got a lot going on in the very near future. His new Reebok's are dropping, his Mr. Davis project will soon hit stores and streaming services as well and, perhaps most importantly, his celebrity showcase of a wedding to fiancee Keyshia Ka'oir is on the horizon. After spending gobs of money on the invitations, the word around the hip-hop community is that the couple are sparing absolutely no expense in making their marriage and the accompanying party one of the most lavish events of the calendar year. Many of Guwop's pals from the music business, including Canada's first son Drake, have received invites to the star-studded affair, which will be getting its own BET special later on this fall. It's definitely a good time to be Gucci.
