A compelling case could be made that 2017 was the year of Gucci Mane. The East Atlanta Santa impressed with the musical hat-trick, laying down DropTopWop, Mr. Davis, El Gato The Human Glacier in quick succession; in fact, the Metro Boomin assisted DropTop was a personal favorite,  showing Guwop at his most conceptually focused. Not only that, but Gucci also tied the knot with longtime fiance Keyshia Ka'oir, in a lavish and televised wedding for the ages. If that wasn't enough, he came through with an official autobiography, appropriately titled The Autobiography Of Gucci Mane.

It's no wonder Gucci decided to take a moment of respite, if only to get revitalize his vaults. Though he ultimately teased Evil Genius last year, it would appear he has, in true villain fashion, bade his time. Only now, with the summer reaching the half-way point, has Gucci emerged from his iced-out hidey-hole to reclaim his title.

Though the album's name may suggest more of an autumnal vibe, it would appear Evil Genius might be a summer project. Gucci Mane took to Instagram to share a new trailer, featuring an group of absolute stunners emerging from a pool, tried and true. Amidst almost comically intense brass, Gucci frolics atop a yacht in summer attire, looking far from evil in the matching ensemble. Still, we can't help but feel like the game could benefit from a new Guwop album, regardless of his demeanor. Peep the trailer below.
