Gucci Mane has been extremely prolific since his release from prison in 2016, but it seems he's still holding on to music longer than he'd like to. His forthcoming album, and second of 2017, Mr. Davis, was recently pushed back a month. On Twitter, Gucci seems to have responded to the delay by suggesting, albeit hyperbolically, that he's looking to go independent and drop "a mixtape every other day" in 2018.

Certainly no human is capable of such a feat, but it reads like frustration with the lack of control Gucci has in terms of when he releases music. With that being said, having released 4 albums and multiple free EPs in under two years, Gucci is still putting out a lot more than his major label peers.

Though his album didn't come out quite as early as expected, Gucci still has a lot on his plate presently. The Atlanta rapper just released his autobiography earlier this week, and will be marrying his longtime girlfriend, now fianceée, Keyshia Ka'oir next month. The event will be filmed as part of a BET Special called The Mane Event, and will be happening on Gucci's signature day 10/17.

Last we heard Mr. Davis will be released a few days prior to the wedding on October 13th. It features the new single "Curve," with The Weeknd, as well as the hit single "I Get The Bag" with Migos, currently at No. 24 on the Hot 100.
