We knew it was coming, but the impact of Droptopwop still hit with apocalyptic force. As Metro and Guwop teamed up to make a concise, excellent project, the task of selecting a standout track was indeed a difficult one. Yet something about the tense, menacing Met Gala commanded attention, especially once Offset's verse kicked in.
The Migos rhymer absolutely goes in over some classic Metro production, rapping for almost two minutes straight. The fire only spreads once Gucci slides in, switching up the vocal tone with a smooth, badass drawl. Does anybody really blend wit and pimpery as well as Guwop? Honestly, this album is pure flames, and Met Gala is only one of many dope joints. Do yourself a favor and stream this one immediately.
