Gucci Mane recently made a trip to New York, fresh off house arrest, and thus his first time traveling since his release from prison. During the press run he sat down with GQ, as we reported, and divulged some of his plans for the upcoming year-- including another movie directed by Harmony Korine and a freshly-inked book deal.

The details on the book deal were scarce in the GQ profile. Today the deal has been confirmed by the publisher, Simon & Schuster, with a representative from Simon & Schuster giving a few words on what to expect.

A spokesperson for the publisher told FADER, "Simon & Schuster is thrilled to publish Gucci’s story in his own words. Gucci Mane is one of the most influential and revered hip hop artists in the world. His impact on American music is profound. This will be a major memoir revealing the life and times of the artist and man, chronicling his youth, ascent to the top of the Atlanta trap scene, incarceration, struggles with addiction and personal rebirth."

We'll keep you posted on the release of Guwop's memoir.
