Snitching has forever been looked down upon in hip-hop. That's not to say that rappers haven't snitched in the past but it's hard to believe someone bragging about catching someone slippin' at a chicken spot if there's already paperwork to prove that they're cooperating with the feds. Rap doesn't necessarily need to be autobiographical but it does help.
Gucci Mane's music is as autobiographical as it gets. The rapper, though, has been on a vengeful tip recently, especially when it comes to snitches. Perhaps 6ix9ine's presence in the game triggers Gucci in ways that we don't know. Either way, the rapper took to Twitter today to air out a few thoughts and suggesting that there are more rats in the game beyond Tekashi.
"At this point you either with me or against me or in my way! Like I just got of prison on the 1st Day #CallMyBluff a lot of y’all work with the police," he wrote in one tweet.
In the midst of social media challenges taking over the timeline, Gucci Mane continued his thoughts by launching a Paperwork Challenge with a hefty reward. He's offering million for anyone that can show receipts that he's ever cooperated.
"If Gucci a snitch show the paperwork I’ll give u 5 million #PaperworkChallenge #New1017 no rats can't come around Wop!," he said in the following tweet.
