Grieves is an up-and-coming voice in hip-hop and today he gifted his fans with a brand-new single called "RX." It's off his upcoming album Running Wild, a project that his scheduled to drop on August 25th.
As the title suggests, the song covers the narrator's addiction problems, namely with pills and booze. He speaks about fighting so hard to get out from under what ails him, but in the end, it might prove to difficult a task. The imagery, combined with the somber-sounding piano accents, recalls some of the better introspective instrumentals we've heard in the last couple of months. Grieves could definitely be a name to watch out for in the near future.
I can feel it in my chest, feel everybody's watching
I don't think that I can stop it
They put me on the pills, they just make me feel lethargic
