Weather has been a continuous problem throughout the last two days of New York's Governors Ball festival, and today the organizers of the festival have been forced to cancel Day 3 of the event due to storm warnings.
"Sunday, June 5th of Gov Ball 2016 has officially been cancelled, due to severe weather and a high likelihood of lightning in the area. The safety of fans, artists and crew always comes first," reads a statement on the official site. Unfortunately, this means fans who bought tickets in order to see Sunday performers such as Vince Staples, Joey Bada$$, and headlining act Kanye West will walk away disappointed. Refunds will be granted to original ticket holders, but as far as we know, there are no plans for a make-up date.
