Gorillaz offer another sample of "The Now Now."

Gorillaz has released a visualizer for the fifth track on their sixth studio album The Now Now, expected at the very end of the month, on the 29th. "Sorcerez" is consistent with the visual presentation which has been their defining trait since day one. Gorillaz are like a folk tale that never reveals itself, even we very well know the artists behind the project, ex-Blur front man Damon Albarn and comic book artist Jamie Hewlett.

The "Sorcerez" visualizer effectively breaks down the lyrical contents of the record over a moving spiral illusion. The visual effect works in tandem with the idea posed by Murdoc: "holding on to one's energy." I've chosen to view the record as a lesson in self-preservation, subjectively speaking, but the "Sorcerez" is ambiguous enough to serve multiple streams of thought at once. The synth-laden production is equally inviting.

The Now Now, the group's sixth album together, remains a topic of interest for music worldwide. The duo began their promotional campaign by slapping cryptic posters across the UK, and by having non-animated members of band wear confusing t-shirts bearing the slogan "no more unicorns anymore." The final tactic that put all rumors to rest was the discovery of a url showcasing a flash media teaser for the album.

All bets are off on June 29.

Quotable Lyrics:

Everybody cool down
Everybody see yourself
Everybody on time
On time, everybody mining
Everybody mining their own inner vision
