While he hasn’t dominated the headlines like some other emcees, Goldlink consistently serves us with great stuff. The latest from the DMV-area artist is the video for “Dark Skin Women,” off his 2015 project And After That We Didn’t Talk.
Like many of Goldlink’s videos, he isn’t in it. Instead he lets model Joi Liayé take center stage, dancing alone in her bedroom and embodying the positive message of self-love that Goldlink’s song is about. It’s a simple concept, but one that remains perfectly entertaining throughout. The video was directed by Anthony Supreme, who shot J. Cole’s 4 Your Eyez Only album cover.
