Future has made it known over the years that he is a bonafide hit-maker. From his early work on Pluto to his most recent album HNDRXX, he has ultimately proved his ability as a songwriter whose music can be rocked from the car to the club to the bedroom. With the release of his self-titled album earlier this year, Future has landed himself another platinum plaque to add to his collection.
This album certification comes after his 2015 efforts, Dirty Sprite 2 and the Drake collaborative mixtape, What A Time To Be Alive also went platinum. Both albums achieved critical and commercial success.
By the sounds of it, it's doubtful that Future will be stopping any time soon. He has the talent of being able to touch any song and bring it to another level as well as being able to actually create full bodies of work that are equally as dope.
According to RIAA's tweets, with Future receiving his third platinum plaque, it turns out that this album is one out of five that have reached platinum status this year. The only other albums to go platinum by RIAA standards are Jay's 4:44, Migos' Culture, Kendrick's DAMN. and Ed Sheeran's third studio album, ÷ .
It's a great look for hip hop overall this year and with someone like Future who consistently puts out hit after hit, let's see which other artists hit platinum status by the end of this year.
