The West Coast is beginning to rival Chicago as the foremost destination for festival goers. The Lost Lake festival is a prime example of this field of interest in the age of consumerism. Taking place on the grounds of the Steele Indian School Park in Phoenix, Arizona, the three day festival appeals to a broad demographic of music fans.

The festival grounds are also the site for a Gay pride festival and a Fourth of July celebration unrivaled across the state. The expanse of desert makes for a luminescent skyline at daybreak. The festival is also a must-have for culinary fans of traditional Tex-Mex fare as food concessions will be erected reflecting local tastes. Organizers expect a spillover from the Coachella crowd to emerge at base camp. The festival will take place on October 19-21.

Future, SZA, Janelle Monae, Nas, Young Thug, A$AP Ferg, Lil Dicky, T-Pain, Kamasi Washington, SOB X RBE, Ravyn Lenae are among the acts representing the hip hop caucus. Yet another festival lineup reflets the preeminence of rap across diverse audiences. Tickets go on sale this Friday at 10am. Keep in mind, the Arizona Skies makes this a unique stargazing experience. Consider Lost Lake the bit-version of Burning Man, molded down to a softer center.
