The ski mask has a long history in rap music, but it seems to have been a more common symbol over the last five years. Perhaps, this has to do with the rap instrumentals sounding scarier and more aggressive than ever wwith the prevalence of trap. Whatever the reason, Future's Monster tape is certainly ski mask music, as his new video illustrates, with Fewtch holed up in a bando, which once again is a mainstay in current hip hop videos, particularly in Atlanta.
