Future and Juice WRLD recently delighted fans with the release of their joint project, WRLD On Drugs. The admittedly unexpected collaboration has garnered acclaim. HotNewHipHop's own Patrick Lyons describes the album as containing "a few bright spots of artistic chemistry," and dubbs it "a testament to Future's versatility, Juice's melodic instincts, and most of all, a stellar executive production job from Wheezy." Pitchfork's Torii MacAdams observed, "Future and Juice WRLD are acutely melodic and instinctive hook writers and, when they evenly divide the labors of songcraft, the results are pretty damn good." Despite failing to nab the coveted number spot on Billboard's 200 chart, WRLD On Drugs did not fall short and managed to secure the number two spot.

According to XXL, the project was able to move 98,000 units -8,000 of which were generated from album sales. Much of the project's commercial success can be attributed to the considerable number of streams it amassed through services such as Spotify and Apple Music. Approximately 88,000 units of the album were sold, and received 123.4 million on-demand audio streams, making it the most-streamed album of the week.

Both Future and his young collaborator have already released blockbusters this year with the former's Beastmode 2 mixtape reaching No. 3 through streaming numbers alone, and the latter's Goodbye & Good Riddance grabbing the No. 4 spot back in August.
