Fred The Godson is a force to be reckoned with. As a east coast emcee, he's known for his lyrical abilities, witty wordplay and his conviction in telling his story. Over the years, he's put out mixtape after mixtape and repped South Bronx to the fullest. Over the course of this year, he's been prepping for his debut album which is supposed be dropping before the end of the year. While many await the release of it, today he drops his long-awaited mixtape Gordo

Over the course of 23 tracks, he proves why he's one of the dopest emcee's on the east coast. With the release of the Dave East assisted "G5" as well as "Different Scenarios" featuring Jim Jones, Vado & Jaquae in the weeks leading up, he's been getting the spotlight back on him and letting people know that he isn't playing with this tape. Gordo is a dope body of work that really encompasses everything that Fred The Godson represents and he also grabs some dope producers and features. Aside from the features mentioned above, he also grabs gets fellow New Yorker Joell Ortiz on the song "Tell Em." He also gets The Heatmakerz on production for a good chunk of the project as well as the likes of Hesami & D Stackz. It's a solid body of work that should indicate that Fred The Godson is definitely about to make some more waves this year.

In 2011, he landed himself a position on XXL Freshman list 2017 alongside Kendrick Lamar, Meek Mill, Lil B and Yelawolf, amongst others. Alongside this, he's worked with some of hip hop's most celebrated artists such as Diddy, Raekwon, Pusha-T, French Montana and more. He's constantly working and growing as an artist, so for anyone that's been sleeping on Fred the Godson, you better wake up and listen to this project.
