Back in February, Frank Ocean was sued by his father Calvin Cooksey for $14.5 million, which accused Frank of libel/defamation after the artist took to Tumblr and revealed his father once called a transgender waitress a “f****t” when he was a child. In the complaint, Cooksey said that Ocean made the claims in order to help promote his then new album Blonde, and now Frank has finally responded to those accusations.

Ocean says the statements his father made were indeed true, and that’s all he needs to fight his father’s defamation suit. According to documents obtained by TMZ, Frank wants the courts to dismiss the case, and he's demanding his dad cover his court costs too.

This news surfaces just an hour or so after finding out that Frank had to cancel another festival performances this Summer at Alabama's Hang Out Fest.

We'll keep you posted on any further updates with Frank's lawsuit moving forward.
