Frank Ocean's request to change his name legally has finally been approved.
We got word in November that Frank Ocean, born Christopher Edwin Breaux, was attempting to legally change his name, however the judge denied his request because the singer had a few unpaid tickets and a suspended driver's license.
Ocean must have cleaned up his driving record as requested, because his name change was just approved today in Los Angeles, according to TMZ. The r'n'b artist can now legally call himself Frank Ocean.
In more exciting news, Ocean announced a new album coming this July. The album is rumored to be titled BOYSDONTCRY, but nothing has been confirmed yet. We'll keep you posted on album details.
