Season 5 of Fortnite is upon us, and game developer Epic Games has a long list of updates for gamers. The rocket launch that tore a portal in the sky of Fortnite has been affecting the game for weeks, spewing items from another world into the virtual one. Epic Games is using the tagline "World's Collide" to promote the latest season, and the trailer shows that a portion of the Californian desert has been transported into the Fortnite map. Two new locations have been linked to the new desert terrain, Paradise Palms and Lazy Links.
New "Rifts" will also be introduced into gameplay. "Test your courage and step through a Rift. You’re in for a wild ride," writes Epic Games in the description of the rifts.

A new vehicle, called the All Terrain Kart (ATK), has made its way from the real world into the Fortnite world as well. The ATK can fit the entire squad, has the ability to attain speed boosts, and the roof can be used as a jump pad. Passengers can also lean forward and back to manipulate the vehicle into maneuvering around objects and heighten jumps. Check out the full list of new updates here.
