Some reality television stars are able to cling onto fame for years after their initial debut. Others become lost in time. Things haven't worked out very well for former American Idol star Antonella Barba. As reported by TMZ, Barba has been arrested for the distribution of heroin. According to the Norfolk Sheriff's Office, Barba was arrested on Thursday in Virginia just before noon, and was hit with a felony charge for heroin distribution of 100g or more. She is currently being held in jail without bond, with a court date scheduled for next week.
Barba took part in the 6th season of American Idol in 2007, but was eliminated right before the top 12 were chosen. She was at the center of a mild scandal while on the show when a photo of her wearing a wet t-shirt while dipped in the fountain of Washington D.C.'s National World War II Memorial began circulating. Barba was arrested for shoplifting in New York in 2011, but still appeared on Fear Factor the following year. She remained as an obscure talent for years, and was last seen on Jimmy Kimmel Live! alongside a cast of other American Idol contenders for a segment called "Where Are They Now?"
