Releasing an album full of posse cuts is a bold move from an up-and-coming artist. Putting too many legends on your tape runs the risk of your own voice being lost in the crowd, unable to keep up with the veteran emcees you've surrounded yourself with.

I'm happy to say however, that doesn't appear to be the case on "School," the fourth single off Forever M.C.'s upcoming compilation album Forever M.C. The bars are tight throughout, and that's no small feat when you have five rappers on a song. The production is a loud, electro piano tune that could have been popular back in 2011, but serves the job nicely here as well.

The highlights, of course, come from the top-billed features: Lupe Fiasco and Talib Kweli. Lupe's final verse, in particular, brings the song home to a nice conclusion.

Quotable Lyrics

Madness and desire like a world on fire
Put a soul on ice like a North Pole night
I let it go once but now I hold on tight
They thought that I was gone but I came back twice
