Footage of Tory Lanez and Travis Scott's near confrontation has hit the internet.
"Me and Travi$ Scott almost fought at the Mala Luna
We both agreed shortly after that it was music
That we could be possibly doing that bigger than tryna ruin it
So my apologies, n***a, just forgive me for doing it"
- Tory Lanez, "Hate To Say"
In our recent sit down with Tory, he opened up about a near-brawl with Travis Scott, which took place after one of his shows. From the sound of it, Tory was already jacked up, reflecting on the rush he felt upon leaving the stage. "I will do something bad to you," he say. "I'm small, but my adrenaline level is at a different level. I'm in a crowd of ten thousand, twenty-thousand fans."
He continues with the play-by-play analysis. "It comes to a point where I get off stage, and I'm in a room...and Travis busts in the room like 'yo come talk to me blood, come talk to me outside," says Tory. "I was going to talk to him, but I felt he was being too disrespectful. I didn't go talk to him outside."
He explains that Travis' man continued with the disrespectful tone, which poured fuel on the fire. Eventually, Travis returned to the room, where the Astroworld rapper confronted Tory about his "I can't sound like anybody I wrote for" tweet. Tory wasn't having it. "He came in the there, and he was charged up, and I was charged up, and it came to a point where I was like...let's fade it out!"
It's clear that Tory has since come to peace with the way it all played out. Throughout our interview, he reflects on the near brawl with a mature perspective. You've gotta respect him for that. If you're curious, some footage from that fateful night has surfaced. It seems to go down exactly like Tory described, and you can see the Memories Don't Die rapper in a particularly heated state. At the end of the day, it's good that the two men were able to hash it out.
