Floyd Mayweather recently filed a Tax Court petition asking the IRS to give him a reprieve on a 2015 tax liability until after his August 26th megafight against Conor McGregor.

According to ESPN's Darren Rovell, it isn't known how much Money Mayweather owes, but he's depending on the massive pay check he's due to receive at the end of next month in order to pay his debt, which is currently 15 months past due.

Per ESPN,

"Although the taxpayer has substantial assets, those assets are restricted and primarily illiquid," the petition said, according to the legal website Law360. "The taxpayer has a significant liquidity event scheduled in about 60 days from which he intends to pay the balance of the 2015 tax liability due and outstanding."

The 49-0 boxer has reportedly earned over $700 million in his fighting career, and he'll be looking at hundreds of millions more after his welterweight bout against McGregor.

The Mayweather vs. McGregor press conference tour will kick off tomorrow, July 11th at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
