Florida-Wisconsin was the game of the tournament.
Without heartbreak there can be no euphoric victory. The #8 seed Wisconsin Badgers learned that the hard way Friday night when their season ended on an improbable overtime buzzer-beating three-pointer by Florida's Chris Chiozza. The Gators won 84-83.
The Sweet Sixteen matchup took place at Madison Square Garden. Wisconsin's Zak Showalter forced overtime on an off-balance 3-point heave with two seconds remaining in regulation. Then, down 83-81 with 4.0 seconds remaining in overtime, Chiozza inbounded the ball, raced the length of the court, and sent up a floater from behind the arc and hit nothing but nylon at the buzzer.
