Fetty Wap has been making it rain loose SoundCloud tracks in the two months since he released his Zoovier mixtape. Last week he released "With You," the sort of warbling love song on which he has hung his cap. But Fetty has an alter ego -- rapping Fetty -- and it is rapping Fetty who rears his head on the latest song to impact Fetty Wap's SoundCloud: "Island Boy."
"Island Boy" is a gritty nod to Fetty's island root, as well as the mythical RGF Island, his version of Tupac's Thugz Mansion. He briefly employs Juvenile's timeless "Back That Ass Up" flow, and one gets the sense that, like many artists, he has been listening to a lot of 21 Savage as of late.
