It has hardly been a week since Fetty Wap surprised us with the early release of his mixtape Bruce Wayne. The artist is keeping up his momentum with freestyles. His latest loosie, "Toast Up (Zoo Mix)", is spat over Gunna's original track from his album Drip Season 3. The track comes in with the type of minimalist keys that introcuce many hip-hop classics. The beat is low-tempo and sparse, with a heavy 808 to push the track forward rhythmically. Fetty freestyles about dealing with the disloyal versus the real. He offers us some of his smoothest vocals, topping it off with his distinguishable raspy runs for some flourishes of flair. The vibe is low-key tender as we make our way through the ups and downs of the game. His take of "Toast Up" recognizes the importance of being surrounded by those you trust when you're deep in it.

Check it out and let us know how it compares to the original.

Quotable Lyrics

I had to learn that lesson over years, baby
I made it through the storm and now it's clear, baby
Hangin', I can see 'em over there, baby
Look up in my eyes, ain't no fear, baby
