Nike SB line has been host to a number of left-field themed sneakers, but they’ve scaled it back somewhat since their heyday around 2007. However, Nike is bringing us back into the fold of randomly-inspired sneakers with the release of the “Chicken and Waffles” Dunk High Premium.
As the name suggests, the shoe is inspired by the delicious breakfast combination of chicken and waffles. The upper is embossed with an all-over waffle pattern, while the swoosh sports maple syrup drips across the entire thing. The light tan colored upper is offset by a gum sole, making the entire shoe a pretty spot-on representation of chicken and waffles. We aren’t sure where the “chicken” part comes in, but perhaps the shoe is meant to be the “meat,” so to speak.
