FDT: 10 Rap References To Donald Trump

Donald Trump might be one of the most hated men in hip hop culture, but it wasn't always that way. Before he was touting a racist agenda, Trump was a symbol of success. With a crap ton of money and an entrepreneurial spirit, it's no wonder why Donald Trump was the subject of tracks by Gucci Mane, Mac Miller and Rae Sremmurd. 

And of course, while he used to be considered somewhat the pinnacle of success, more recently he's been clowned on by many of artists. The Game, YG, Nipsey Hussle, and Kendrick Lamar are just a few of the rappers who have taken jabs at the presidential candidate in recent times.

Whether it was good or bad, the Donald's name has come up multiple times over the course of rap history. Let's take a look at ten examples of when hip hop name-dropped Donald Trump.

Nelly's name-drop was definitely before Trump's politics made him one of the most-hated men in the hip hop community. Here he puts him on the same level as Bill Gates as he references their bread flow.

"Got a chopper with a drum, Split Swishers with my thumb
Get money like Donald Trump, Double barrel on that pump
This kush I got ain't no chump, Get stupid and get stomped
Two guns I call Kriss Kross, Kriss Kross'll make you jump"

On 2011's Sorry 4 The Wait, Lil Wayne compared his own money-getting to Donald Trump's. Trump is apparently worth four and a half billion USD. 

"Drink all muddy, flag all bloody
I’m killin’ these hoes like that nigga Ted Bundy
I’m a good looking rapper, I ain’t tryna stunt
I'ma fire my blunt like Donald Trump"

On his Lil Wayne-assisted cut "Ball," T.I. name drops serial killer Ted Bundy before using the name of our subject. "You're fired," was somewhat of a catchphrase from the Donald that he used on his show The Apprentice. 

"Up like Donald Trump, chain swings like nunchucks
She gon' chew you up, twerk like she from Russia
Don't get me wile'd up, soldiers at a ten hut
Look what you done done, now you done fucked up"

Using Trump's name in the hook is taking a page out of Mac Miller's book, but it works. The Rae Sremmurd boys drop no less than ten "Trump"'s throughout the course of this Sonny Digital-produced banger. However, Slim Jimmy recently said in an interview, "I wish we would have never dropped it because I don’t f**k with Trump and I don’t think he should to be president."

Nothing much else to say here. Gucci and Thugger got together and made a rather annoying track that repeatedly shouts out Donald Trump in the hook.

"Take over the world when I'm on my Donald Trump shit

Mac Miller wasn't even being mean to Donald Trump when he made this, but Trump threatened to sue him anyhow. That ain't nice. Later on, Mac would diss Donald on The Nightly Show. Check that out here for the LOLs.

"So Appalled" was a star-studded banger, and the opening rhymes from Kanye featured a slight murk to the Donald's hairline. Trump aside though this song went so hard...

The Game is a pretty scary dude. He's big...physically. He doesn't like Donald Trump either, as he makes clear in his Skrillex collaboration "El Chapo."

One of the more socio-political conscious rappers of the modern day goes by the name of Kendrick Lamar. When he released his Black Friday mini-project alongside J. Cole, he threw a jab at Donald Trump while putting up the big homie Kanye West.
