Noé Aguilar is the father of Hania Noelia Aguilar, a 13-year-old girl whose life was tragically ended. Haina was kidnapped while waiting outside her Lumberton, North Carolina home to be driven to school by family members when she was forced into a relative's car by a man she did not recognize, according to FBI accounts. An Amber Alert was subsequently issued and the search Hania for lasted for weeks before her body was recovered in a body of water near a rural road in Robeson County on November 27. Haina was ultimately raped and killed.

Haina's father Noé Aguilar applied for a Visa to travel to the United States to attend his daughter's funeral was denied on the grounds that he supposedly "didn't have enough ties to his home country, Guatemala," Aguilar's attorney Naimeh Salem told CNN. "That is not true," Salem maintains. "He has family there and his own business." During a brief telephone interview, Aguilar opened up about the anguish and disappointment he experienced upon learning that his application was denied. "I had hoped they would find it in their hearts to let me be there for my daughter's funeral."

"It's very sad. She was my princess. She will always be my princess."
