Kate Spade, a respectable fashion designer, has been found dead at her Park Avenue apartment on Tuesday, according to New York City police officials.
Authorities reveal that Spade, 55, was found unresponsive and uncosncious by a housekeeper. She apparently had hung herself with a red scarf tied to a doorknob. She had left a note, but an official did not comment on what it exactly said; Spade was officially pronounced dead at 10:26 a.m.
The designer's husband was at the scene of her death, however, police officials were unable to locate the exact whereabouts of Spade's 13-year-old daughter.
Spade's namesake company continually produced clothing and accessories that were specifically constructed to make women happy. Hallmarks of the brand include bright prints, patterns, and a whimsical aura that struck a chord with female customers worldwide.
