West Coast rapper Fashawn met up with 2DopeBoyz.com to talk about his recent endeavours. His last album dropped in 2009, and he explains the long wait by saying "when you makin' timeless music, it doesn't matter how much time you take for it. The fans are gonna wait for it if you're a quality artist, and I feel like I am that, so there's no worries. No rush, either."

He also discussed the reason for naming his mixtape Champagne & Styrofoam Cups. "Champagne represents the fame...and everything that's positive about my life. Styrofoam is a reflection of the life I lived prior to the life I live now and everything I had to do to obtain the shit that I got now."

He goes on to talk about still working with producer Exile, and how they've worked to "find that sound, what I want to deliver to my fans. ... With all modesty, I think my style's elevated since the last album."

Fashawn says he'll be touring a lot more in 2013. "It's been nothing but positive feedback from everybody. Gonna tour Europe next month and see how Europe feels...about everything we're doing in the States."
