The tables have turned for Famous Dex. Once upon a time, we could most assuredly find this man in Japan. Now, even his loyal fans have been asking Where's Dexter? Today, the rapper did his best to answer the question with a new EP, which features guest appearances from Quando Rondo, Warhol.SS, and Lil Tjay on the closing track "Dismissed." With Tjay cruising off the momentum of his own buzz, it feels like a decent enough choice to spotlight, though it soon becomes evident that both parties are hitting cruise control for this one.
For Famous Dex, he appears content to fire off whichever thoughts float into his head, ditto for his melodies. "She want to fuck me and she married," he muses, a conundrum that might have crumbled a lesser man. "I don't want to fuck you baby, have my babies." While we're not sure how he got there, it's probably best not to overthink it. At the very least, Lil Tjay does his part to find the beat, doing his best to tighten things up with a dexterous flow. Whether it's enough is up to you.
