Like his 6ixside forefathers before him, Nav is hitting the scene heavy with a mysterious persona, a technique that's worked well for basically everyone from Toronto, from PartyNextDoor to SAFE to The Weeknd. That's not shade against him; he's put in an incredible amount of work to get the fan base he's sitting on, establishing himself as a go-to producer online before getting in the game as a vocalist. Not a lot is known about Nav's beginnings other than that he came up in the Rexdale district of Toronto. Besides the location, all to be learned about Nav is in the music.

After much speculation, it's been confirmed via Twitter that Nav is managed by Cash, the XO mastermind who manages The Weeknd and Belly. Given that track record, Cash is basically the best manager a Canadian hip-hop artist could ask for, so rest assured, Nav's career is in good hands.

Nav had the trap goin ham when he dropped "Up," his Metro Boomin-produced banger this past summer. The chemistry was clear, and it set the stage for Metro's announcement that the duo would be droppin a joint project this year.
