You had to figure it was only a matter of time before we started to see other artists tackling Drake’s new infectious hit “God’s Plan,” which we just found out today topped the Billboard charts for the third straight week. And first up to do so is West Coast R&B singer Eric Bellinger, who’s coming off a new release with Sy Ari Da Kid last week called “Read Receipts.”
Leaving the production & Drake’s verses intact, Eric adds his R&B touch to the bouncy & infectious record, showing off his stretched-out cadence & in-pocket flow, while addressing his come up & newfound success in the process. The verse itself is relatively short, but any fan of the LA crooner will definitely appreciate his touch here.
