Kanter was getting stitches when he was thrown out.
The New York Knicks and the Milwaukee Bucks got heated last night with Enes Kanter of the Knicks and Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Bucks butting heads. Not only did the Knicks lose the game 112-96, but Kanter was ejected from the game as well. This was because Kanter knocked down the "Greek Freak" while he was driving the basket. On the ensuing play, the two got in each other's face.
According to ESPN, both players were given technical fouls. Kanter, who had a cut above his eye went to go get stitches. During that time, officials reviewed the play and gave Kanter a second technical which would have tossed him from the game. When asked by a reporter about being kicked out, he had no clue what she was talking about.
After the game, referee Brian Forte told reporters "During instant replay review for the altercation, we observed an unsportsmanlike act by Kanter, and that is what led to his first technical foul. After the out-of-bounds foul, Giannis and Kanter came face-to-face, and so they were both assessed dead-ball technical fouls."
Kanter and the rest of the Knicks will take on the Utah Jazz at home Saturday.
